White House visits

10 March 2017

While the website of the White House and travel guide books continue to advise foreign nationals that they must apply for White House tours through their embassies, this is, in fact, not currently possible. The Office of Protocol at the Department of State, which processed these applications in the past, has suspended the procedure.

As a result, non-American citizens are presently unable to visit the White House.

As an alternative, you may wish to consider visiting The White House Visitor Center or taking a virtual tour.

Guided tours are open to all visitors for: the Pentagon, Capitol Building, Library of Congress, National Archives, the Washington Monument or Mount Vernon.

We wish you a pleasant stay in Washington D.C.
